Pokemon Gold and Silver Remakes

oh...the rival? i always thought he looked kind of ugly considering there are better looking people in the pokemon games...haha well, one more year until this game comes out..

when i replayed gold i called him chris- so rival=chris

At long last! The much-anticipated Gold/Silver remake is on its way! Hopefully it'll be out in the US early next year so I can get it imported lol! I can't wait to choose my Totodile!

After Gold/Silver, the 3rd Gen R/S/E was a disappointment and D/P may have had some nice new features like Wifi etc but I can't wait to replay Gold/Silver. Johto was, in my opinion, the best region and the 2nd generation was better than the other 3.

Also, this time, we get to play Gold/Silver hopefully with all the new additions bought to us by the DS (like wifi)! I hope they have the bit where you go to the Kanto region like the originals and I hope we get to see the newer 3rd and 4th gen pokemon in Johto! XD

I think I'll go for Soul Silver and Chrono, the rival will be named after you too! lol!

I bet they'll make a 5th gen game, then they'll remake RSE.
I don't think D/P/Pt suck compared, but they aren't as good.

Diamond and pearl is what brought us together. Without those we wouldn't be here.

yay im so happy finally this is official. ^^
i sold my gold when i was little..( i think tht was a stupid mistake >.<) and am rly gonna buy gold again since i loved tht game, was actually my first pokemon game when it would've been red version but i got it second for some strange reason lol..o.o..
And that is true about pokemon. Without none of the games, this site wouldn't exist. none of us would know each other, just strangers. pretty freaky if you imagine it, but im glad pokemon's alive lol good friends I've made, good friends lol... and probably other people too O.o...XP

gold and silver are gonna be beast i love gold and silver i just cant wait

wow, my 1st game was diamond lol and if people saing it sucks compared to silver and gold i cant w8! i thought diamond and pearl was good.

gold n silver was definitely my favorite generation. How you could go back to Kanto, and battle Red. Was so cool ^^.

I think the fact that I knew nothing about EVs and IVs only made it better. Now i'm not sure how i'll react to the upcoming remakes since I think so competitively of pokemon now. =[

Ah, FINALLY! Nintendo finally got up and smelled the coffee for once!

My first Pokémon game was Crystal, then Red...man, I loved Crystal. Even though I sucked at battling in-game back then more than I do now. And as I still don't understand a thing about IVs and EVs and CVs...wait, CVs have nothing to do with this...well, never mind that. I loved the game. And I always thought (and still think) the rival in GSC had the best theme music. ^_^

I think GSC is the best gen, but I don't have anything against the others. Let's just look forward to the games coming out!

woot! i agree with rialys. yellow was my first game, then blue and crystal i think...i like the GSC music

finnaly a way to get a lugia without having to beat pkmn for the gamecube

I am super excited for this moment. I don't know which game to get though...SoulSilver sounds more interesting..I am mostly happy about the better graphics and the following starter ^^ Let's all thank Nintendo for this

lol yes you would you would want to show everyone that you have a realy tough looking pokemon and your not scared to use it

so what happens if you have all three do all three follow you? or just the one you started with? that would be lol if all your pokemon folowed you

lol chrono would be funny if you had a trail of starters behind you =P.. But it's either going to be the one you started with... or either (which im hoping) the first pokemon in your party. imagine a lugia or something following you???? lol thatll be so cool

i realy like the johto version im glad they are remaking it to bad we probaly wont see it till about till july-september

I've heard that they're predicting the Japanese Release for these games sometime in the last quarter of this year. With previous games, the US versions have been released between 4 and 7 months later than the Japanese versions which means that we could see the US versions of these games sometime between early and mid 2010.

On a different note, it'd be cool to see gigantic pokemon following you but something tells me it's only going to be the starters and/or smaller pokemon... Think about how difficult it'd be to maneuver with a giganic Lugia following you around in a cave or something lol!

I think only the starter pokemon can be the following pokemon...I don't really want any other pokemon to be a following pokemon because that it kind of weird...I mean who would want a ratatta being a following pokemon? XD
