Paintings. [Short Story]

A middle aged man was driving through the woods when his car break down in the middle of nowhere, he decides to call someone but there is no reception on his mobile. With no other choice, he decides to wander around to attempt to find a place to stay for the night in the woods. After a while of tiresome walking, he comes across this old rundown house with an open door, the stairs leading to the porch was creaking, the porch had burnt marks all over, the door knob was rusty, but the inside of the house seemed completely fine. The man walks in to find a futon in the middle of the living room and thinks to himself that its a nice place to stay for the night. So the man gets ready to sleep, lies down on the futon and looks around the room, he sees a weird painting against the wall.

It's a picture of a female with a bloody face, bashed and stabbed and hung up by a rope from a tree. The woman in the picture seemed to be dead, but she was looking directly at him. Thinking to himself how scary that portrait looked, he turned the other side and kept thinking to himself "Sleep, sleep, sleep. It's only one night." After a while of torturous insomnia, he finally falls asleep on the futon.

The next day he wakes up, he rubs his eyes and looks around the room again. When his eyes come across the portrait he saw last night, he realizes that it is a window.
