From what I gathered they may have gotten rid of ev training. Instead they have special training which involves mini games to train a specific stat. There is also core training where the Pokemon can train by itself. Sounds fun

Nobody likes to go to the gym alone...
Whatever they decide to do I'm totally fine with, Pokegen saves the generation again.

It has also been stated that Kangaskan will also have a mega evolution and will gain the ability Parental Bond in its mega state, which allows it to attack twice in one turn... whaaaaaaaaat?
I have a feeling we are gonna see the starters evolutions soon and we are going to be more disappointed than Taylor Swift at the kids choice awards

Nintendo has just released details of a new variant of the Nintendo 3DS handheld. This variant is called the Nintendo 2DS and is essentially a slim version of the Nintendo 3DS without the stereoscopic 3D effect. It is due for release for $129.99 in North America on October 12 to coincide with the launch of the games X & Y. In Europe, it'll be released October 12th as well for Ł109.99.

At first this seems like a stupid idea, but it isn't so bad actually.
You get to play the 3DS games at a lower price. There's no chance of really screwing your eyes up with the 3D settings - perfect for young kids who may turn the 3D on by accident or something. It'll be much more difficult to break without the hinges, though I appreciate that it will be kinda bulky.
I doubt I'll get one, but I could see how some would like one. To be honest I think I may have considered buying one if it weren't for the fact I have a 3DS XL already.

There will be a showdown and PO for 6th gen so theres no need to buy a DS to play mons.
And for those that think DS wifi will be prominent in 6th gen, I can almost guarantee that it wont happen because many players are so used to the fast placed battles of showdown. Even without that the fact that people CAN cheat and DC on the DS just makes the game alot less fun. Why would anyone battle on the DS in 2013 is just beyond me.
Many top players on smogon havent played 5th gen yet or do they know how to breed mons.

i hope the time period it takes to update simulators take a really long time; like never~
So much that people will fall right back in love with DS battling, and the 3edgy5me fans can just stay in their little simulator worlds. Forever. :~3
Oh! I also really hope that we can't transfer from Gen V. c:

Lol that thing kinda looks like the wii u controller. Not much creativity huh? Wouldnt get it anyway. Happy with my red 3ds
Also, i pre ordered a copy of pokemon Y yesterday and they gave me 2 posters. They were both the same poster but since its double sided they gave me 2 in case i want to use both which i prob wont. Anyway one side is the map of the new region which looks kinda similar to sinnoh if you look at the continent as a whole but whats in it looks pretty different. Pretty cool. As for the other side, it shows both legendaries. So yea

Why do you guys hate on simulator so much? PO and showdown has been a hit in the last year and it looks like the future of competitive mons will be around this. It seems to me that most of yall people who worship wifi doesnt know whats wrong with it.
Look guys WIFI is filled with cheaters and im not talking about major cheater who use wonder guard on random mons, im talking about minor cheats that you can get away with. Here are some examples:
- No guard or compound eyes on mons like tornadus, starmie, terrakion, keldeo so that your inaccurate moves hurricane, focus blast, hydropump, stone edge will always hit. Unless you switch keldeo or terrakion into a dark attack (justifed) theres almost no way your opponent will know if you hack those abilities on those mons.
-Serene grace+scald (or any move with secondary effect) - Getting burn on scald is pretty common, so if you hack say a- militotic with serene grace and burn them with scald, people would think its just sheer luck and wont expect you're using serene grace.....
-Ev hacks. Say if you have a mon like garchomp with 252atk and 252spd and you decide to add an extra 30 evs in defense, you will get away with it almost all the time... NO ONE is good enough to tell if your using 510 or 550 evs....
And im not gonna get into when battles DC and players start to point fingers at each others...
Showdown/PO all the way yo, fk wifi. And to all yall wifi players, good luck dealing with cheaters and disconnectors.

Thats what i like about showdown. That you cant cheat like that, the fast paseness and that its much less likely to get dc. But theres nothing wrong with have some wifi on the side

And i dunno about you guys but mega blastoise looks cool. Venusuar kinda looks the same even thou theres not much to work with for it anyway and charzard is meh. Thing I like most about this is that it gave me new found hope for mega typhlosion :DDD

I'm happy charizard got one since he's my favorite pokemon ( i mean if blaziken got one why not charizard ). Charizard will be used more now ( possibly replace nine tails but thats my opinion ) with the ability Drought and a higher special attack stat ( i don't remember/know if any other stats are boosted ). Blastoise looks cool as well but its ability is sort of disapointing since it only boost pulse moves ( unless new ones are introduced or theres more to the ability ). And as for Venasaur I think Venasaur has potential since thick fat reduces damage from its only 2 weaknesses and its defensive abilities are increased.

Even with sp attack boost, charizard better be wearing skates or something cause after stealth rock damage of 50% charizard is slow as constipation on a summer day compared to some pokemon that could OHKO it. So after ST damage ill have to pray that charizard is faster to use the mega form or no drought for me.. #toorisky

It does suck that they cant hold items though. At least their power boosts kinda make up for not having a life orb. Still they would be so much more useful if they can hold choice items

I can't wait to use Mega-Charizard. Oh wait, mega stealth rocks, nevermind... Still funny how its not a dragon type but the little green dragonfly is.
Second, these mons getting megas mean no mega for Typhlo probably, lols Ito, but at least your sun team's savior and only sweeper littlefoot gets to get even more annoying.

Lol if typhlo doesnt get one, Ill be kinda pissed. And yea poor charizard is still gonna be fairly useless cuz of rocks. And yea I guess venusaur will be better defensivly but still. Not like it can hold leftovers :s

Charizard will definitely see more play because of its power boost and Its ability Drought. It sucks it can't hold items like life orb or something, and in smogon rocks are common., but in a vgc standpoint it surpasses nine tails since its special attack is at a much higher base power than nine tails and because stealth rocks aren't used at all in vgc ( rock slides will hurt though ).
