Mentors?

Okay so I was thinking would it be cool if some people here such as gym leaders, elite 4, Moderators,Administrators,or even members could mentor people like me that like Pokemon but suck at battling for a week and then have a tournament to see who mentored the best group (of 2 or 3) or just one person??????It also doesn't matter if your new to pokemon or experienced pro anyone can mentor anyone and really learn something from each other.....lol me and my crazy ideas

This is actually a good idea. It would help newbies get better and they would actually try to get better since they would want to win in that tourney your talking about. It's a win-win!

seems interesting but i dont think this tournament would happen anytime soon , theres a brawl tournament thats being prepared and an upcoming pokemon tournament of some sort

Even without the tourney, having mentors would help everyone become competitive battlers (something we have been trying to do) and worry about the tourney later. Actually, that tourney isn't really all that nessesary I think. They could just join the regular tourneys to see how much they improved. However, who is willing to be a mentor?

it is a category ive been considering to gabrante including artists and frontier brain. mentors AKA tutors should be a category where a skilled battlers will mentor someone from any tier. Example, it's not without a doubt Allen is the best OU player here. He will be an OU tier mentor for , where as for example I could be a UU tier for someone as well. It really all depends on the tier and how many. I think it's a bad idea for someone to have more than 1 tutor/mentor. So yes if you ignore the tournament part, this is a great idea.

Although it's not a bad idea to have more than one person per tier especially in ou since it's the main tier. Not everyone will do well with allens battle style. Maybe having 2-3 people in at least ou would be a good idea too.

I forgot to mention it also depends how you want to play, Hyper Offensive, Stall, or balanced.

Yup. If we have to, we could just have mentors based off those 3 styles. Maybe 2 or 3 of each since having 1 may make the line long. I dunno but maybe that would be important instaed of basing them off of tiers. What do you think?

first the student has to say what style and tier he/she is looking for and then someone will be selected, its much easier this way

Sorry Ak i was on for a moment but left soon later. But yes i will take into mind there are people here willing to learn from us to get better and learn more about pokemon.
I do Take into consideration that i am a very different battler. So i do not mind mentoring people but everyone has their own style

yes, of course there is a possibly you could be a mentor, but again it`s not been decided yet and things need to get sorted out

I need someone who is a good dragon battler though because i want to learn to battle with my dragons
