how to get charmander in platinum (no cheats)

first wat u do is fly to the resort area
then go up to the route above it and head to the opening where there is tall dark grass and wander around there and eventually u will get charmander (this works and there is honestly no cheats)

ive heard the exact same thing, except it was completely different..

no iv heard that if you go to the place where unknown is there is a room were you have a chance of finding a wild charmander.

It should be generally impossible for you to catch a charmander in the wild, but games do have glitches so if you find a charmander there without cheating, then you will find a charmander there.
