Well, I'm still fairly new to these forums, and there was always a problem that plagued me when my mom takes away my DS so i finish my homework: "HOW DO I FIX MAH SHODDY?" It turns out I was focusing on the wrong firewall (lol) and I got it working. I began to use the only team I remember from my previous shoddy (Computer crash deleted all files Sad ). Anyway, as I get on, I get into a very long and drawn-out battle. Everybody knows shoddy is quick: but this match started from 2:45 EST and went on until 3:30 EST. That translates to probably 3 or 4 hours on wi-fi play.

The team is:

My opponent's team will be shown below.

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause, Soul Dew Clause
StevenSnype sent out Crobat (lvl 100 Crobat ?).
derji sent out Starmie (lvl 100 Starmie).

Alright. So the match begins... Crobat is just one of my favorite leads for its epic speed. However, unlike the ones to match HGSS, this one does not carry super fang. Keep in mind, I made this team before HG/SS came out. My bet is it's very likely choiced or LO and will Ice Beam or Tbolt. Bronzong's my best bet to go to, but let's u-turn to make sure he stays in.

Crobat used U-turn.
It's super effective!

Starmie lost 30% of its health.

Hmm, that damage didn’t look like much, but hey, any damage is good as this. So out to bronzong!

StevenSnype switched in Bronzong (lvl 100 Bronzong).
Starmie used Psychic.
It's not very effective...
A critical hit!

Bronzong lost 11% of its health.
Starmie's leftovers restored its health a little!
Starmie restored 6% of its health.

Bronzong's leftovers restored its health a little!
Bronzong restored 6% of its health.

---

Everything goes as executed. I LOL at that crit damage, I think it's a bulky variant due to lefties and damage output. I'd better set up SR now and switch to rotom.

Starmie used Surf.
Bronzong lost 27% of its health.
Bronzong used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around the foe's team!

Starmie's leftovers restored its health a little!
Starmie restored 6% of its health.

Bronzong's leftovers restored its health a little!
Bronzong restored 6% of its health.

---

Starmie used Rapid Spin.
Starmie blew away the pointed stones!
It's not very effective...

Bronzong lost 1% of its health.
Bronzong used Earthquake.

Starmie lost 19% of its health.
Starmie's leftovers restored its health a little!
Starmie restored 6% of its health.

Bronzong's leftovers restored its health a little!
Bronzong restored 6% of its health.

D’OH! I hate misclicking on Shoddy… Hmm, it’s always good to know a this thing’s fourth move. Ice Beam or Recover? In any case, I’d rather stay in and just EQ for damage.

Starmie used Surf.
Bronzong lost 24% of its health.
Bronzong used Earthquake.

Starmie lost 19% of its health.
Starmie's leftovers restored its health a little!
Starmie restored 6% of its health.

Bronzong's leftovers restored its health a little!
Bronzong restored 6% of its health.

F*** it. I don’t feel like stalling right now. Let’s just go to Latias for the tbolt.

StevenSnype switched in Latias (lvl 100 Latias ?).
Starmie used Surf.
It's not very effective...

Latias lost 15% of its health.
Starmie's leftovers restored its health a little!
Starmie restored 6% of its health.

---
derji switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Latias used Thunderbolt.
A critical hit!

Blissey lost 24% of its health.
Blissey is paralysed! It may be unable to move!

Latias lost 10% of its health.
Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.

And here comes the main problem of this match: That dang Bliss. Fortunately, it is punished with a crit and paralysis, although I feel confident he has Natural Cure. But the question is: what set is he running? In any case, I’d go to Zong to see what happens.

StevenSnype switched in Bronzong (lvl 100 Bronzong).
Blissey is paralysed! It can't move!
Bronzong's leftovers restored its health a little!
Bronzong restored 6% of its health.

Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.

---

Here’s where paralysis sucks… Now what the hell do I do about this bliss? Fortunately, there’s not a lot he can do to me. My best move here is to set up SR, but I have a feeling he’ll predict that, so I’ll explode on the switch. I doubt he has a ghost, else he would not have left starmie in to potentially take an explosion, so I’m just gonna explode.

derji switched in Starmie (lvl 100 Starmie).
Bronzong used Explosion.
Starmie lost 62% of its health.
derji's Starmie fainted.

StevenSnype's Bronzong fainted.

StevenSnype: 5
derji: 5

And the first blood is drawn. Fortunately my predictions are right, however, this becomes a horrible move in the long run. Now comes the dangerous double switch. All I know about his team is he has a bliss and now a dead starmie. I’ve revealed to him a crobat, a LO latias with Tbolt, and a (dead) Bronzong. I’ll stick with sending out what he’s seen and go to bat, who can u-turn anything and tell me who’s scarfed and who’s not.

StevenSnype switched in Crobat (lvl 100 Crobat ?).
derji switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).

Hmm, Metagross. There’s not a lot I can do here. I have a feeling it’ll set up, so I might as well Taunt him and u-turn out.

Crobat used Taunt.
Metagross fell for the taunt!
Metagross used Meteor Mash.

Crobat lost 69% of its health.
Crobat's leftovers restored its health a little!
Crobat restored 6% of its health.

Crobat used U-turn.
Metagross lost 16% of its health.

A mash or an EQ is promising, so let’s go to rotom.

StevenSnype switched in Rotom-h (lvl 100 Rotom-h).
Metagross used Meteor Mash.
Metagross's attack missed!

So he mashes again… interesting. Fortunately, it misses me, giving me a rotom at full health, and he doesn’t know which set I’m running. The best he can assume is a frail set, else I would’ve sent it in on Starmie to spin block. This is the ChargeSub Rotom. I feel comfortable that a switch is imminent, so I’ll sub up.

---
derji switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Rotom-h used Substitute.
Rotom-h lost 25% of its health.
Rotom-h made a substitute!
Rotom-h's leftovers restored its health a little!
Rotom-h restored 6% of its health.

Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.

Yay bliss. Time to set up..

Rotom-h used Charge Beam.
Blissey lost 8% of its health.
Rotom-h's special attack was raised.
Blissey used Light Screen.
A barrier was formed!

Rotom-h's leftovers restored its health a little!
Rotom-h restored 6% of its health.

Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.

And this is how this warstory became 23 pages on Word ’07 singlespaced. Light Screen Bliss… Well, it didn’t interfere with my sub and I still don’t know if it’s a flamethrower variant or not (thus explaining my hesitation to switch in Luke), so there’s no reason to not try to set up.

derji switched in Quagsire (lvl 100 Quagsire ?).
Rotom-h used Charge Beam.
It doesn't affect Quagsire...
Rotom-h's leftovers restored its health a little!
[color=red]Rotom-h restored 6% of its health.

Damn. Quagsire… My only other moves are HP Fighting and Shadow Ball, the former I want to save for beating down Bliss. I feel confident that this one abuses Yawn and Recover (I hate you HG/SS). I don’t know about the rest of his moves though. But, since I have a sub up, let’s attack.

derji switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Rotom-h used Shadow Ball.
It doesn't affect Blissey...
Rotom-h's leftovers restored its health a little!
Rotom-h restored 6% of its health.

Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.

Ofc he goes back to bliss. It’s fairly obvious that he’s not going to send in quagsire in case I shadow ball this turn, so I’ll Charge Beam.

derji switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).
Rotom-h used Charge Beam.
Rotom-h's attack missed!

D’oh! I guess that makes up for the Mash miss. Might as well go for the Charge Beam.

Metagross used Ice Punch.
The substitute took damage for Rotom-h!
Rotom-h's substitute faded!
Rotom-h used Charge Beam.

Metagross lost 20% of its health.
Rotom-h's special attack was raised.
Metagross's light screen wore off!

O.O Meta outsped?! Clearly Scarfed. Ironic I sent in Bat to scout for them…. With Ice Punch, I think he carries EQ and Explosion. Time to go to my physical wall, the Rubber Ducky!

StevenSnype switched in Porygon2 (lvl 100 Porygon2).
Porygon2 traced Metagross's Clear Body!

derji switched in Blissey (lvl 100 Blissey ?).
Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 1% of its health.

Interesting double switch. Unfortunately, I don’t get to trace the Bliss’ ability to verify he’s natural cure, but I don’t see the paralysis on him, so I know he’s a Natural Cure. However, I don’t want to risk a toxic. Between Crobat and Luke, it seems that Luke has a good chance to sweep his team. So I go to bat to take the toxic…

StevenSnype switched in Crobat (lvl 100 Crobat ?).
Blissey used Thunder Wave.
Crobat is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
Crobat's leftovers restored its health a little!
Crobat restored 6% of its health.

Or not… At least now, I feel comfortable knowing he’s S-Toss/T-Wave/Eggeating/LS Bliss. Since Crobat’s paralyzed, I might as well keep him up for Death Fodder and just roost this turn.

derji switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).
[color=orange]Crobat is paralysed! It can't move!
Crobat's leftovers restored its health a little!
Crobat restored 6% of its health.

D’oh! I’ll leave Bat in to see what he’s gonna do.

Metagross used Trick.
Metagross obtained Leftovers!

Crobat obtained Choice Scarf!
Crobat used Roost.
Crobat restored 50% of its health.

Metagross's leftovers restored its health a little!
Metagross restored 6% of its health.

My rustiness of shoddy shows here. The thought of Trick has NEVER even come to my mind until this point. Even then, Crobat is just dead weight. Not much I can hope to outspeed here. Since he’s faster, I doubt he’ll earthquake. Mash is the clearest option so I’ll go to Rotom to take it.

StevenSnype switched in Rotom-h (lvl 100 Rotom-h).
Metagross used Meteor Mash.
It's not very effective...

Rotom-h lost 34% of its health.
Rotom-h's leftovers restored its health a little!
Rotom-h restored 6% of its health.

Metagross's leftovers restored its health a little!
Metagross restored 6% of its health.

Hmm, 34% damage. He doesn’t know that I have HP Fighting as my 4th move, so I think that he thinks that I have Overheat. Predicting a switch, I’ll sub.

Rotom-h used Substitute.
Rotom-h lost 25% of its health.
Rotom-h made a substitute!

Metagross used Meteor Mash.
It's not very effective...

The substitute took damage for Rotom-h!
Rotom-h's substitute faded!
Rotom-h's leftovers restored its health a little!
Rotom-h restored 6% of its health.

Metagross's leftovers restored its health a little!
Metagross restored 6% of its health.

D’oh! I still feel paranoid about switching to Luke… so my best bet is to switch to Crobat…

And so ends the first part of this RIDICULOUSLY long shoddy battle. I'll post Part II soon. 'Til then, enjoy...
