| They are uber under the Support Characteristics. Wobbuffet can kill any choiced pokemon without effort and it can also allow another pokemon to set up with ease thanks to encore and arena trap. Wynaut is in uber for the same reasons.
Blissey is not uber because it's easily set up on and isn't really that big of a deal.

Blissey is not uber because it's easily set up on and isn't really that big of a deal. Boy summed this up quite nicely, though, he means Shadow Tag ability instead of Arena Trap. It is worth noting that unlike Arena Trap, the effects of Shadow Tag (i.e. not being able to switch) last even when Wobbuffet/Wynaut have switched out. This means that Wobbuffet/Wynaut can switch out and a counter to the opponent's pokemon can be sent in, without the opponent's pokemon being able to escape. I'm not sure if any pokemon can escape (or are immune to) Shadow Tag... I'm also not sure whether or not U-turn pokemon get to switch out of Wobbuffet/Wynaut. If I find out, I'll be sure to post again.

Yup, Shadow Tag is the main reason they are uber. I looked into Shadow Tag further and found that it traps all Pokémon that are not holding a Shed Shell or have the move U-turn or Baton Pass, even after Wobbuffet/Wynaut have switched out.

Looks like Serebii's pokedex page for Wobbuffet is incorrect then. It states that "The opponent cannot run nor switch. If this Pokémon switches, the opponent will remain trapped. The opponent may still switch by using Baton Pass."

| Yeah seems like it is, I've played ubers before and you can definitely switch when Wobbuffet has switched out. Otherwise Wobbuffet would be top used in Uber above Kyogre for sure. I also asked around and others seem to agree with me that you can switch. Smogon seems to be more reliable than serebii anyway =P. | |
