I don't have to know you to call you out. Whether they share an opinion or not deal with it.

Right, this is a forum, the whole point is to share your opinion and discuss. Everyone should have their own opinion and we should be encouraging to share it rather than telling people to shut up. If you can't take it that someone has a different opinion than you, that is where you shouldn't give out your opinion.
For me gen 3 was not the worst game but it was not as good as everyone says it is. The repetitive water landscape really annoyed me. The amount of Wingull, Tentacruels and magikarps became very annoying very quickly.

magikarps?? were did u find that while surfing i thought it only appeared while fishing and i kinda like the water routes made it easyer to find latias or latios. theres only a couple things i hated bout gen 3 and its routes, 1: route 29 was the only place a wailord could be found, 2: up until emerald zigzagoon was only found on 3 routes then they switch it out with poochenya, and 3: they did add the match call this to where the trainers u had registered on ur pokenav could call u and just chat till emerald, that itself was wrong since u could do that already n gen 2!

3rd gen will probably be my favourite due to it being the one I spent the most time on as a kid. It wasn't even my first Pokemon game (that was Gold, but even before then I played my Brother's original 3).
I'm mixed about the amount of water in the game, in some ways I liked it because it gave the region much more of a unique feeling to it then either Kanto or Johto did. I feel like I liked the water being there when I was playing the story aspect as it forced me (before I had Surf) to go look for ways to these different places. But after finishing the game they became quite irritating.

The one thing I did like about gen 3 was the bases and that you could register your friends team and challenge them once a day. In a sense I hope they bring back that aspect. They tried it in gen 4, but the underground seemed really lacklustre compared to 3. Similarly 3 was one of the easier games in my opinion. I once beat it with just using swamper and an 2 HM slaves, both didn't even make level 20 come champion battle. Swampert was a bit OP, I do hope they fix that.
Also they can't make a full remake because of all the new pokemon. Plus pokemon like gardevoir are fairy now and has a mega evolution.

gen 3 will always have a special place in my heart for pokemon. sapphire was the first game i got that could save, it was my first gameboy game, and it was the first game i bought with my own money

When I said it was the worst game I did not mean the game was bad. However, compared to the other games I found travel in ruby/sapphire to be annoying. I prefer moving around on the bike or running shoes and didn't like the excessive amount of water travel. It also felt like there was a lot of back tracking in the game and it felt like we got fly late in the game. I'm pretty indifferent about this remake since all the pokemon are already available. For me catching them all and breeding are what keep me interested. I'll probably end up getting sapphire but may be a bit bored with no new pokemon. Hopefully they have some new egg moves or something.
So far the game I liked the best was the gold/silver remakes. The online trading and battle systems were the best. I loved lv 100 single option and I hate this new preview nonsense that is shoved down our throats. The new egg moves were also pretty good during these games.
