Rayquaza Forum Art Competition

Its that time again forum!

We are in need of a new banner! And we are opening it up to the forum's artists and anyone else who would like to participate! Just post bellow your entry and after a couple of weeks maybe 19th July we will close the entries. We will then make a vote and the best banner, chosen by you, the forum, will be our NEW banner!

There are some criteria,

1 Rayquaza must be the feature of the banner, we cannot have a banner that has a bunch of magikarps and says Rayquaza forum, could we?

2. Not a huge criteria but try to keep it green, we maybe able to change some of the layout to help suit the banner but Green is sort of the color of Rayquaza Forum.

Oh something everyone who is making a site banner. This is kinda important. Since the banner will be for the site, you should make an effort to get premission to use the pics (especially if their from deveantArt) That way you can avoid potential trouble. Most ppl would just ask why you wanna use the pic and say yea but its important to ask first.

So here's my submission:

I know this doesn't have a green background, but i tried to keep rayquaza green despite the attempt on a modern-style graphic. Uhm, I have been getting some criticisms that it looks like the Emerald handbook or something, and I would truly like to inform you guys that I have never used it and don't even know what it looks like (since I never played Emerald as a child or even completed the game as a ROM on the computer). I will post all the pictures I used below. Everything else on the actual image is done through Photoshop CS 5.

Kinda think its colors dont really go with the site in general (black and green) try addictive some brighter colors instead

OK, because i really thought it would look good if the green contrasted with the black. Also, the forum itself is black, haha.

Oh and I guess I should put it out there. Over the years, Rayqauza has had essentially the same colors on its banner: a combination of yellow, green, black, white. I just wanted to add a little excitement (i am not sure if that's the word I am looking for) and mix up the colors a bit. Also the banner with its darkness is supposed to portray the oppressiveness of the godly and legendary Rayquaza itself. (This is for the first entry)

yea the edited one looks reeeeal cool. theres nothing i could find bad about it, especially with the green and black background. Yup i would def make this the banner for this site

Sadly my pc taken away for a bit :/ i could make a pretty kickass banner being a graphic and video editor/designer but i need my computer. I think this is over right? When i get my pc i'll still make somethin and just submit it for you in case you want to change it up to something sleek.

thats cool meta, the only thing i'd change, is take away the saying at the bottom. i feel as though its taking away from what the focal point of your image should be, and thats Rayquaza.
